Mangaakuta Pā was situated in the Wairarapa from around 1840 to at least 1870. It was home for whānau of Ngati Te Kai, Ngati Te Hina, Ngati Te Uma, Ngai Tamahau, and Ngati Whatui. Today it is an empty field with only a stone cairn to signify the home it once was.
